Differences From the Standard Timetable
Twilight does not end at high latitudes during the summer. In Glasgow, this "abnormal" period lasts between 4th May and 7th August. Therefore some of the prayer times have to be estimated. We normally follow the Aqrab al-Ayyam (nearest day) method but when Ramadan occurs during the long summer days, we follow the Aqrab al-Bilad (nearest place) method, as shown in the Ramadan timetable.
